Early Morning Game Drive
An Early start! First, the hard bit: waking up before sunrise. Then an improvement: a pre-breakfast snack. After that, your morning at the bush just gets better and better as you head into the grasslands to greet a new day.
The Bush never sleeps. Something, somewhere, is always at work or at play, hunting or being hunted, browsing, mating or simply going about its business. However, the early morning is a particularly good time for our open rooftop vehicles to bring you close to the wildlife, just when the action is at its most exciting. Few predators hunt in the heat, so the cool of a new morning is when we are most likely to witness the thrill of the chase.
Whatever the animals lay on for us, this is a magical time, with subtle light stretching its tendrils across the landscape, the birds twittering and calling, and the sense of a great adventure beginning to unfold. Having risen early, it won’t be long before your stomach starts to grumble, so we take a pause for a full breakfast in a quiet, safe spot, before further viewing. The excursion then brings us back to the camp or lodge in good time for a doze, lunch at camp/lodge, and whatever lies in store for the afternoon.
